I am an experienced fully-qualified 500-hour certified yoga teacher and am registered with Yoga Alliance.
I was trained by the formidable Anne-Marie Newland at Sun Power Yoga. This is an eclectic blend of 4 traditional styles of Yoga: Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga and Sivananda with a high emphasis on disciplined practise.
I currently teach Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation in London and online to individuals of all levels.
Modern Yoga is often so focused on the aesthetics and physical postures (asana) but Yoga to me means so much more than being flexible and able to bend yourself into a complex posture.
Physical practise is just one aspect of yoga. The word “Yoga” itself is derived from the Sanskrit root “Yuj,” which means “to unite.” According to ancient yogic scriptures, practicing yoga leads to the connection of our mind, body and breath. This allows us to tune-in to ourselves and build inner and outer strength, on and off the mat.
I was inspired to deepen my practise and knowledge of yoga by my wonderful teacher and mentor, Georgina Paraskeva. I currently teach Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation in London and online.
Dupi is a wonderful Yoga teacher with a real emphasis on the philosophy of yoga. She has a gentle and friendly character which helps you to instantly warm and connect to her during your yoga practise.
Absolutely love Yoga with Dupi! Outstanding teacher. A calm, tranquil atmosphere combined with challenging classes and a rigorous attention to detail – alignment in particular. This is my favourit yoga class in London. Highly recommend!
Dupi is just amazing I was nervous about joining a class after a break from yoga for several years but her soothing voice, clear instructions and calm nature put me at ease within the first 5 minutes. One hour later I left her class so relaxed and feeling more clear-minded. Really enjoy YogaWithDupi classes. They helped my mind, body and breath connect. She explains each pose clearly and shares her deep knowledge. Dupi adapts her teaching style to the ability of the class and reminds us to breathe, unwind and relax and really cares about her students’ well-being. I always feel so refreshed afterwards. Dupi seems like a genuinely lovely person which comes across even virtually.
